Step-by-Step Break of Study & Rejoining Workflow

Step 1: Submission of Formal Application

Student or parent submits a formal request letter along with medical certificates, hospital discharge summaries, and academic records to the respective Head of Department (HOD).

Step 2: Departmental Scrutiny & Recommendation

The HOD verifies the case credentials and forwards the application with specific recommendations to the Principal & College Academic Committee (CAC).

Step 3: Official Sanction Order from Principal

Upon CAC review, the Principal issues an official Break of Study order specifying the approved duration and regulatory terms.

Step 4: Supplementary Examination Privilege

During the break period, the student is authorized to register for and appear in supplementary examinations for any prior backlog courses.

Step 5: Rejoining the Degree Programme

The candidate must formally apply to the College Office at least 30 days prior to the commencement of the semester in which they wish to rejoin, submitting authentic medical fitness certificates.

Step 6: Regulation Synchronization

Upon rejoining, the student shall be governed by the academic regulations, syllabus, and credit structure in force for that cohort at the time of re-admission.
